I. Steel plates (including strips) are classified in various ways, according to different properties and uses. The following are some common classifications of steel plates:



      1. Classification by thickness


      - Thin plate: Usually refers to steel plates with small thickness.


      - Medium plate: steel plate of medium thickness.


      - Thick plate: thicker steel plate.


      - Extra thick plate: very thick steel plate. 2.



      2. Classified according to the production method:


      - Hot rolled steel plate: steel plate made by high temperature hot rolling.


      - Cold rolled steel plate: steel plate made by cold rolling. 3.



      3. Classified according to surface characteristics:


      - Galvanized sheet: The surface is coated with zinc to improve corrosion resistance.
