Hastelloy C-276 is widely considered the "gold standard" of corrosion-resistant nickel alloys. It is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium superalloy with an addition of tungsten, specifically designed to withstand the most aggressive chemical environments known to man. It is one of the few materials that can survive in wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide.
