2205/2507 stainless steel is a duplex stainless steel grade, blending austenitic and ferritic qualities to offer superior strength and excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against pitting and crevice corrosion. Its composition includes around 22% chromium, 5% nickel, and 3% molybdenum, endowing it with higher resistance to corrosion and cracking than conventional austenitic steels. Ideal for challenging chloride-rich environments, such as in marine, oil and gas industries, and chemical processing, 2205 stainless steel bars are also used in pollution control equipment and high-strength structural components. This grade's mix of strength and corrosion resistance makes it highly valued in demanding industrial applications.
