C26000 brass, widely known as Cartridge Brass or 70/30 Brass, is the most popular of the alpha brasses. Consisting of 70% copper and 30% zinc, it offers the optimum combination of strength and ductility. It is named "Cartridge Brass" because of its historic and ongoing use in ammunition shell casings, a testament to its incredible ability to be deep-drawn without cracking.
