430 stainless steel pipe is a ferritic, non-hardenable alloy containing straight chromium (16–18%). It belongs to the 400-series and is widely recognized as the most popular ferritic stainless steel. It is primarily selected for its excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance and thermal properties at a significantly lower cost than nickel-bearing alloys like 304 or 316.
